Apple Hill Orchards is a family owned orchard located in Henderson County in the mountains of North Carolina.

Apple Hill Orchards is owned by Greg Nix, a fifth generation apple farmer. Greg’s love for the apple industry started at an early age when his grandfather had him on a tractor in the orchards at age 5. When Greg Nix first started in the apple business back in 1979 he had only about 30 acres but has grown to 150 acres over the years.

About the Farm
Greg started Apple Wedge Packers in ‘99, the packing and marketing arm for Apple Hill and a few other local area apple growers (pictured above). The Fresh Market will have 7 varieties of apples from Apple Wedge during the season including Red & Golden Delicious, Gala, Fuji, Pink Lady, Gingergold and Granny Smith.
