John Mixon Farms is a small family owned farm located in the heart of Grainger County in Rutledge, Tennessee.

About the Farm
Work is divided up equally between the Mixon family with John overseeing everything from the sowing of seeds to the harvest, Rhonda runs the packing house and Jonathan & Joseph the next generation of Mixons are learning to “do everything John does.”

Mixon Farms, which was started on one and a half acres, now has over 200 acres where they grow watermelon, green beans, corn, peppers and their delicious tomatoes.The Mixon’s Grainger County tomatoes get their famous flavor from the rich Tennessee soil they are grown in.

John Mixon Farms tomatoes are currently available in all Fresh Market stores. This season, they will offer three colors of heirloom tomatoes (yellow, red and purple) to complement their lusciously high flavored Grainger County tomatoes.
