What started as a dream of Ray and Beverly Berry in 1982 is now a 78-store privately owned enterprise.  The Fresh Market continues to grow at a rate of 25% per year (approximately 15 to 20 stores a year) and with each new opening comes the opportunity to select up to 100 new employees.  Headquartered in the Southeast, The Fresh Market’s growth is due to our dedicated and talented employees.   

As our company keeps growing in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, we are also exploring potential sites in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. 

Jeff Jordan, Director of New Store Operations, has been with the company for over 15 years and sees great opportunity for those eager to learn, grow, and develop in our environment.  The ability to build relationships with others and help them develop is a core part in The Fresh Market’s continuing success.
