owned farm situated right along the Smith River in Stuart, VA.

About the Farm
Owner and operator of Three Falls Farm, Bert Wilson started growing chestnuts as a hobby 18 years ago after retiring from the military. He has always used some organic practices. This is their 4th year as a certifi ed organic farm.

On 480 acres, the 210 acre farm now has over 2,500 chestnut and a few dozen persimmon trees. During harvest season, Bert hires a night watchman to scare off bears, protecting the crop.
