Preheat oven to 300º. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, pecans and powdered sugar; set aside.
In a large saucepan, combine white wine, Demerara sugar, lemon zest and juice, cloves and pinch of cinnamon. Bring to a boil and add pears; reduce heat. Turn pears after 10 minutes, then continue to cook 10 to 15 additional minutes. Remove pears from liquid and set aside; keep liquid in saucepan.
Turn heat to high and reduce remaining liquid to 1 1/2 cups. Let liquid cool completely and add to cream cheese mixture.
Bake pears for 10 minutes or until warmed through. Remove from oven and top with cream cheese mixture before serving.
