CHOOSE ONE: Ground Turkey (16 oz), Raw Peeled & Deveined Shrimp (16 oz, 51-60 per 16 oz) or Abbot’s Butcher Plant-Based Protein (10 oz, choose from all varieties)
CHOOSE ONE: La Tortilla Factory Tortillas (11.57-13.26 oz, choose from select varieties) or Garden of Eatin’ Blue or Yellow Taco Shells (5.5 oz)
CHOOSE ONE: Frontera Taco Skillet Sauce (8 oz, choose from select varieties)
CHOOSE ONE: Yo Quiero! Guacamole (15 oz), Salsa (15oz) or Queso (12 oz)
GET ONE: Texas Caviar or Elote Corn Salad (1 lb)
In this week’s Little Big Meal, we are featuring our recipe for Tacos. Choose your protein simmered in a savory seasoning, served with our Elote corn salad or Texas Caviar to create a delicious dinner in just 20 minutes. See below for recipe instructions.
Heat the oil in a large skillet.
Ground Turkey: Cook over medium-high, breaking up with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Shrimp: Cook over medium-high, turning to cook evenly, until shrimp is opaque, 1-2 minutes.
Abbot’s Butcher Plant-Based Protein: If frozen, defrost before cooking. Cook over medium heat, turning to brown on all sides, 12-14 minutes for chick’n and 8-10 minutes for “beef” or “chorizo.”
Add Frontera Skillet Sauce to skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
If desired, warm tortillas: Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium and add desired number of tortillas, one at a time, about 30 seconds per side. Wrap the tortillas in foil to keep warm.
To serve: Place a tortilla on a plate. Add a spoonful of filling and top with Yo Quiero! Guacamole, Salsa or Queso. Repeat as desired. Serve with elote corn salad or Texas caviar.
