Hunger Action Month® Round Up Fundraiser Benefiting Local Feeding America® Food Banks

September 1 – September 30, 2025
September is Hunger Action Month®, a time when Feeding America® raises awareness about hunger issues and encourages collective action to help end hunger. As a committed partner of Feeding America, The Fresh Market® is proud to participate in this initiative through our annual Hunger Action Month Round Up fundraiser.
Funds raised will benefit Feeding America, with 90% of the proceeds staying local to support Feeding America partner food banks that collaborate with The Fresh Market stores. These funds will help address food insecurity and promote hunger awareness within their communities. Every dollar donated helps provide ten meals, secured by Feeding America on behalf of these local partner food banks.
Hunger Action Month offers a meaningful opportunity to engage in efforts to end hunger. Here are a few ways we invite our guests to participate this September:
- Round Up: When making a purchase at The Fresh Market, round up your bill to the nearest dollar to donate to Feeding America.
- Hunger Action Day® - September 9th: Wear orange, the color of hunger relief, to demonstrate solidarity with the millions facing hunger.
- Volunteer: Support your local community by volunteering at a nearby food bank.

Carla Hall, Food Network judge, cookbook author, and passionate brain health advocate created her line of tarts in honor of her grandmother, who lived with Alzheimer’s.
“A big ol’ thank you to everyone who stopped by The Fresh Market and picked up my Sweet Heritage butter tarts! Y’all didn’t just treat yourselves—you helped raise over $21,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association! That’s a whole lot of goodness doing double duty: satisfying your sweet tooth and supporting critical research to help us get closer to a cure. I’m so proud to be part of this delicious way to give back. Let’s keep showing up for each other and keep working to #ENDALZ—one bite at a time!” – Carla Hall
