The Fresh Market is dedicated to supporting the communities we serve through in-kind giving, hunger-relief initiatives, and partnerships with impactful organizations, including Feeding America®, the Alzheimer's Association® and other nonprofit groups. By supporting causes that promote health, wellness, and food security, we help make our communities better places to live.
Feeding America® + The Fresh Market
Doing our part as a Mission Partner
We have aligned our company as a “Mission Partner” with Feeding America. They are the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States, with a network of 200 foodbanks that feed 40 million people at risk of hunger, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors.
Each of our store locations make food donations multiple times per week to Feeding America’s partner food banks and its agencies to fight hunger in their communities.
Hunger Action Month® Round Up | September 2026
As part of our long-term focus on hunger-related causes, The Fresh Market is again supporting Feeding America with a Hunger Action Month® Round Up from September 1 through September 30. We invite each guest to consider rounding up your in-store purchase or adding a different donation amount to support the efforts of Feeding America.
Funds raised will benefit Feeding America, with 90% of the proceeds staying local to support Feeding America partner food banks that collaborate with The Fresh Market stores. Just $1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local partner food banks.
Hunger Action Day is September 29. Please join us in wearing orange—the color of hunger relief—on behalf of the millions of our neighbors facing hunger.
Alzheimer’s Association® + The Fresh Market
Dinner. Donation. Delicious!
For the past two years, The Fresh Market has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association and chef Carla Hall during the month of June to raise awareness and support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
As part of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, The Fresh Market’s donations from Carla Hall's collection items help support the Alzheimer’s Association’s work to advance research and provide care and resources for those impacted by the disease.
June 2026
The Fresh Market donated 10% of the purchase price of Chef Carla Hall With Love Market Meal Kits, Sauces, and Sides throughout June 2026 to the Alzheimer’s Association. Together, The Fresh Market and our guests donated a total of $94,236.42 to the Alzheimer’s Association during June 2026. Read more >>
June 2025
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed Carla Hall’s Sweet Heritage Butter Tarts last June to support the Alzheimer’s Association and the millions of individuals and families impacted by this disease. Carla Hall created her line of tarts in honor of her grandmother, who lived with Alzheimer’s. The Fresh Market donated a total of $21,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association during June 2025.
