Community Involvement

We believe it’s our responsibility to invest in our communities the same way they invest in us.

Community Responsibility

The Fresh Market believes in giving back to our communities to help make them a better place for all to live. We do this with in-kind giving and through programs with long-term focus on hunger-related causes.

Holiday Round Up Fundraiser Benefiting Local Feeding America® Food Banks

November 1–December 31, 2025

As part of our long-term focus on hunger-related causes, The Fresh Market® is again supporting Feeding America with a Holiday Round Up from November 1 through December 31. We invite each guest to consider rounding up your in-store purchase or adding a different donation amount to support the efforts of Feeding America.

*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.

Hunger Action Month® Round Up Fundraiser Benefiting Local Feeding America® Food Banks

Thanks to your generous support, $155,018.83 was raised during the Hunger Action Month Round Up (September 2025). While benefiting Feeding America ®, 90% of the proceeds will stay locally to support Feeding America partner food banks that collaborate with The Fresh Market stores.

Whether through a round up at the register or with a specific donation amount, your support contributed to providing more than 1.5 million meals*.

In addition to this fundraiser, The Fresh Market remains committed to giving back to the communities it serves by regularly donating unsold food to local Feeding America partner food banks. This ongoing effort helps alleviate the impact of food insecurity and supports Feeding America’s overall mission to end hunger in America.

*Every dollar donated helps provide ten meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local partner food banks.

Alzheimer’s Association®

Dessert. Donation. Delicious!

Thank you message from Carla Hall

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed Carla Hall’s Sweet Heritage Butter Tarts during June. As part of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, The Fresh Market donated 10% of the purchase price of Carla Hall’s Sweet Heritage Butter Tarts from June 1–30 to support the Alzheimer’s Association and the millions of individuals and families impacted by this disease.

Donation Amount: $21,540

Carla Hall, Food Network judge, cookbook author, and passionate brain health advocate created her line of tarts in honor of her grandmother, who lived with Alzheimer’s.

“A big ol’ thank you to everyone who stopped by The Fresh Market and picked up my Sweet Heritage butter tarts! Y’all didn’t just treat yourselves—you helped raise over $21,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association! That’s a whole lot of goodness doing double duty: satisfying your sweet tooth and supporting critical research to help us get closer to a cure. I’m so proud to be part of this delicious way to give back. Let’s keep showing up for each other and keep working to #ENDALZ—one bite at a time!” – Carla Hall
