I have made these beans twice for my family and for company. Everyone loves them especially the men. My husband will even eat them as leftovers the next day. Thank you.
Omitted the hot peppers, everyone loved it.
Too much sugar. Otherwise, pretty much a standard camp bean recipe if you were to cut back on the sugar, eliminate the hoaked up high fructose corn syrup bottled bbq sauce and use a can of tomatoes or enchilada sauce instead.
Thought I haven't actually tried it yet the recipe itself had my mouth watering. After going through the list of what is needed for this delectable dish, I realized how easy it is to shop for these ingredients just because there are no "weird", "out of this world" ingredient you won't be able to find. Time to go shop-ping!!!
