
Ingredients
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 oz Baker’s chocolate, unsweetened
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 oz dark chocolate chunks
- 2 c red cherries
- 1 ½ c chopped, ½ c halved
- ½ c all purpose flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small pot over medium heat, melt butter and baker’s chocolate.
Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt. Whisk vigorously with a wooden spoon until mixture is evenly combined.
Fold in coarsely chopped chocolate and 1 ½ cups of the chopped cherries.
Pour mixture into an 8 x 8” baking dish or 10” cast iron skillet.
Arrange the remaining ½ cup of halved cherries nicely on top of the brownie mixture and bake for 20- 25 minutes or until the top and sides have set but the center is still slightly gooey.
Sere warm with whipped cream or ice cream and more fresh cherries.
