
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp canola oil*
- 16 oz ground turkey, 16 oz peeled & deveined shrimp or 10 oz Abbot’s Butcher protein of choice
- 1 pkg (8 oz) Frontera Skillet Sauce
- 1 pkg tortillas or taco shells
- Yo Quiero! Guacamole, Salsa or Queso
Directions
Heat the oil in a large skillet.
Ground Turkey: Cook over medium-high, breaking up with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Shrimp: Cook over medium-high, turning to cook evenly, until shrimp is opaque, 1-2 minutes.
Abbot’s Butcher Plant-Based Protein: If frozen, defrost before cooking. Cook over medium heat, turning to brown on all sides, 12-14 minutes for chick’n and 8-10 minutes for “beef” or “chorizo.”
Add Frontera Skillet Sauce to skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
If desired, warm tortillas: Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium and add desired number of tortillas, one at a time, about 30 seconds per side. Wrap the tortillas in foil to keep warm.
To serve: Place a tortilla on a plate. Add a spoonful of filling and top with Yo Quiero! Guacamole, Salsa or Queso. Repeat as desired. Serve with elote corn salad or Texas caviar.
