Ingredients
- 1 Cedar Grilling Plank
- ¾ c extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ c chives, thinly sliced
- ¼ c parsley, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp coarse salt, plus more for finishing
- ½ tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 lb salmon
- 1 lemon, sliced in wedges
Directions
Soak grilling plank in water for a minimum of 1 hour before using. Preheat grill to medium high heat. In a small bowl, combine oil, chives, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Place plank directly on grill and close lid for 3 minutes. Open grill, flip plank and place salmon (skin side down) directly on plank. Brush salmon with garlic herb oil.
Cover and grill until salmon is cooked and flakes easily, about 15-20 minutes, or until your desired level of doneness. Remove lid, brush with more garlic herb oil. Remove plank from grill and place on large platter. Serve hot with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a light sprinkling of coarse salt.

I made this recipe with the King Salmon! It was superb!
Delicious and very easy to prepare.
We used this recipe on the Big Green Egg Saturday evening and the salmon was the "Hit of the summer". All of the herbs came from our garden and the salmon came from TFM.. Keep the recipes coming.
I followed the recipe for" Herbed cedar grilled salmon" to a "T" but when I opened the grill at the allotted time the cedar plank was engulfed in flames and the salmon was burnt on the outside. I rescued the salmon but the cedar plank was ashes.
So simple! So delicious!!!
So easy and so delicious! Add some fresh veggies in basket on the grill brushed with a little of the same seasoning and it's a meal!
Delicious flavor and presentation.
Excellent recipe.. It came out totally yummy...
Love it ,Love it. Recipe is perfect.
Recipe is great. I sometimes use a small amount of jelly "cranberry jalopena" and not any other seasoning on poached or roasted or grilled salmon. Salmon is so good for us.
Let me say that this dish was delicious. However, I gave it 4 stars because of the method. 1 cup of olive oil is waaay too much. Use 1/2 that. You're just brushing it on twice-not marinating it. Also, the plank, after soaking for at least an hour, should be put on the grill for 3 minutes before putting the fish on. It also doesn't take 18-20 mins to cook. More like 12-13. Keep an eye on it so you don't dry it out.
Absolutely fantastic!!!
modified here used lots of garlic, parsley, chives in small food processor..then added 1/4 cup of EVOO, salt, pepper and juice of a whole lemon..add this to your fish..OMG..family screaming with love.
I'm not a salmon eater, but after trying this recipe I am now a believer! It's so flavorful your taste buds will live you.
Yum, thank you so much for sharing. Delicious is an understatement.
It’s great!
Great recipe! A must try!
This is delicious! I did use only 1/4c olive oil and added fresh dill to the garlic herb oil.
I cannot believe this recipe. I followed exactly. The results were better than outstanding. I am not a true fan of salmon and now I love love love it. Thank you so much ....
