Jalapeño Popper French Rounds

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg The Fresh Market French Rounds or one baguette, sliced and toasted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, brought to room temperature
  • ¾ c The Fresh Market Shredded Mexican Cheese Mix
  • 3 jalapeños, seeds removed and rough chopped (keep the seeds in for spicier)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp fresh black pepper
  • 2 tbsp minced chives

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400F.

Spread the French rounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or tinfoil. In a food processor, process the cream cheese, Mexican cheese, jalapenos, salt and pepper until well blended, tasting for seasoning and adjusting as necessary. Using a spoon or small spatula, spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on each French round, covering the surface of the rounds completely.

Bake for 5-7 minutes until warm throughout. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chives on each French round. Serve immediately.
