Our Favorite Way To Serve It Up

The best way to enjoy a classic recipe is to keep it simple. The chicken and cheese should be a gorgeous golden-brown hue when finished. Top the final plated masterpiece with fresh torn basil for a colorful, aromatic garnish and serve with fresh salad.

See below for step-by-step instructions on how to cook our chicken parmesan to perfection.


  • One 25 oz jar Cucina Antica La Vodka Sauce, divided
  • 2 tbsp The Fresh Market Extra Virgin Olive Oil*
  • 4 breaded chicken cutlets
  • 1 bag The Fresh Market Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Fresh basil*



1Warm Sauce

Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add sauce and bring to a low simmer to warm through.


2Cook chicken

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken to pan and cook until deep golden brown crust, about 3-5 minutes per side. Do not overcrowd pan, cook in batches if necessary.


3Add Sauce and Cheese

Transfer chicken to baking sheet. Top each chicken cutlet with a spoonful of sauce followed by an even layer of cheese. Reserve remaining sauce.



Preheat broiler to high with rack 6 inches from heating element. Place sheet pan in oven and broil until cheese is golden brown and sauce begins to bubble, about 2-3 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees F.
