In this week’s Little Big Meal, we feature our Pesto Pasta meal. Serve with your choice of veggies and pound cake for a delicious weeknight meal.
CHOOSE ONE: Chicken Breast Strips (1 lb) or Raw Peeled & Deveined Shrimp (1 lb, 51-60 ct)
CHOOSE ONE: Broccoli With Sea Salt Butter (17 oz) or Green Beans With Salt & Pepper Butter Steamer Bag (16 oz)
GET ONE: The Fresh Market Organic Pasta (16 oz, choose from select varieties)
CHOOSE ONE: Gotham Greens Classic or Vegan Pesto (6.5 oz)
GET ONE: Demi Baguette (2 ct) or The Fresh Market Old Fashioned Lemon Pound Cake (16 oz)
In this week’s Little Big Meal, we feature our Shrimp Pesto meal. Serve with your choice of veggies and pound cake for a delicious weeknight meal. Scroll down for step-by-step instructions!
Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
While pasta is cooking, heat the oil over medium-high in a large skillet. Add chicken or shrimp to skillet and cook on all sides until cooked through (6-7 minutes for chicken, 1-2 minutes for shrimp). Remove the skillet from heat.
Microwave the steamer bag for 3-4 minutes until tender. Let the bag sit in the microwave for 1 minute before removing. Caution: Steamer bag will be hot and may release steam when opened.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the chicken or shrimp. Add the pesto and stir well to incorporate, adding more pesto if desired. Serve immediately.
To Serve: Divide pesto pasta onto four plates. Serve alongside veggie and bread or dessert of choice.
For Demi Baguette: (Ready to eat. Heating instructions follow, if desired.) Place in 350°F oven directly on rack and heat for 5 minutes until bread is warmed through. For softer bread, sprinkle with a small amount of water and wrap in foil before placing in oven.
